Despite heavy weather, extreme cold, broken materials and our arguments during last year's trip, I think we are perfectly prepared to fulfil our next challenge. Team back in Holland, 2340km in 32 days EXPEDITION 2007 (Greenland east - west, 600km) In the spring of 2007 the team crossed the Greenland icecap in 26 days as a preparation for the 2008 expedition. EXPEDITION 2008 (Greenland south - north, 2500km) In the timeframe of may - july 2008 the team will try to accomplish the ultimate Greenland crossing. Northpole campaign WWF Notice Expedition is part of this years Northpole campaign organised by the World Wide Fund. Scientific Research support During the 2007 expedition, a scientific protocol was executed as part of a feasibility test for private expeditions on the icecap. Climate neutral energy sources Notice Expedition uses solar power, wind energy and bio fuel for cooking. The challenge: biofuels in arctic environments! Expedition materials During the expedition it is important to rely on all your equipment. There is NO store in the icecap!
