We saw a lot of activity going on ans some USA flags. First we wanted to see Dye-II from the inside and two Danish airforce officers arrived on a snowmobile. At that moment Joeps ski-binding broke... we only have one spare so now we have to be careful. The officers told us there was a us-army arctic exercise going on. A lot of airplanes were landing and taking off. We went inside Dye-II. It was crazy to see this dark place, it almost felt like visiting Disneyland! A lot of stuff still laying around... cookies, beer, soap... also a lot of garbage. After an hour and a half we went outside again, fixed the binding and went to the militaries. We had a warm welcome and they invited us to look around in the iglos that they built. Amazing! After some chats we decided to put up our kites again and luckily we were able to sail off without problems while everybody was staring at us. We did about 20km from Dye-II when we setup camp.
